Baroque

I have always loved the elegant and varied shapes of the baroque bridge, tailpiece and fingerboard.
My first teacher, Mathijs Heyligers, was one of the first violin makers in Italy to cater for period instrument practice, so I learned about baroque conversions right from the start of my apprenticeship.
Later in Amsterdam I took advise and information from Fred Lindeman who is well known for his expertise in this field.

Here in England I have been working for members of the English Concert, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Gabrieli Consort, the English Baroque soloists and the Academy of Ancient Music as well as for soloists, teachers and students and I continue to develop this specialization.

While the models and measurements I use are based on research and historic examples, my baroque conversions are very much informed by the musicians I work for.
The fingerboard, bridge and tailpiece for each set- up are custom made by me and there is a selection of pegs available to suit different styles and budgets.
